The PCS mission is to foster, promote and elevate the skill of fitting, building and repairing golf clubs by providing educational, marketing and technical support to its members and inform and educate the golfing public of the value of professional golf clubmaking and clubfitting. A non-profit, international, independent association headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, the Professional CLUBMAKERS' Society was founded in 1989 has more than 1,000 members worldwide.

Jim McCleery Awarded 2008 Clubmaker of the Year

The world’s largest, international organization of golf equipment professionals, the Professional Clubmakers’ Society (PCS) has named Jim McCleery of McGolf Custom Clubs and Driving Range in Waverly, Ohio, as the 2008 PCS International Clubmaker of the Year.

Nicklaus and Others Inducted into Hall of Fame

The Professional Clubmakers’ Society (PCS) proudly announces this year’s PCS Hall of Fame inductees Richard Bogdan, Seymour Dunn, Robert Roseburg and Jack Nicklaus. The dignitaries were honored during the 2008 PCS Golf Equipment Professional Technology Conference held at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Fla.

Peak Performance

One doesn’t typically find golf equipment professionals swinging clubs at 14,000-feet above sea level, but 2002 PCS International Clubmaker of the Year Tom Cook and his wife, Sue, are far from typical. Both are certified “Class A” Professional Clubmakers who run a full-service, custom club-fitting operation in Minnetonka, Minn., and both recently completed a climb of a lifetime.

On Thursday, August 9, Tom and Sue made their way up Mt. Elbert, the highest mountain in Colorado — and third highest mountain in North America, to complete an almost one-year-long goal.
